The most common procedure done here at our practice is the extractions of wisdom teeth, otherwise known as third molars.
As you know, these are the final teeth to develop and they usually erupt in the mid to late teen years. Wisdom teeth can actually be a valuable asset to the mouth when they are healthy and properly positioned. Often times though, when the jaw isn’t large enough to accommodate wisdom teeth, they can become impacted in the jawbone and problems may develop. Therefore, the recommendation is to have them removed.
Another procedure done here at Silvestri Dental & Associates is the placement of dental implants. With the advances in technology, they can be placed and often restored in one visit! The healing period is minimal and the results are absolutely amazing.
